Only a few strain are as well known as the Northern Lights, one of the most popular strains of all time. Northern Lights is an inbred of the original Afghan Landrace varieties and a pure Indica. The THC content can reach 16-21%, making it one of the strongest grades available on every market. Just a few hits are enough to get the powerful body effects of this strain, an exciting mix of euphoria and physical relaxation. CBD levels are less clear, but they are certainly not high enough to be recommended as a treatment for seizures or other disorders that respond to CBD. Nevertheless, Northern Lights is an extremely useful medical grade that is effective in the treatment of anxiety, pain, and insomnia as well as loss of appetite. Cottonmouth is common, as are red eyes, while other negative effects are much lower. This strain has a sweet, earthy taste with a hint of citrus. Northern Lights is most popular on the West Coast and in Colorado, but it is popular almost everywhere else where marijuana is found.
